Angus Beef, also known as Black Angus or Certified Angus Beef,

is a specific brand of beef,

and Certified Angus Beef standards were developed in 1978

in order to indicate a particular level of marbling,

tenderness, age and color for the meat

that qualified for the Angus Beef label.

Angus Beef is known for its finely, intensely marbled meat,

which means that the fat is dispersed

evenly against the actual cut of meat.

This marbling trait of Angus cattle typically

creates a more tender,

juicy and flavorful meat than other breeds.

This Black Angus has been grading "prime" by the USDA

which makes it special, pure and elegant.

Wagyu cattle have Japanese blood lines and are now raised in the US.
Snake River Farms American Kobe (Wagyu) beef is one of them, 
and is celebrated by chefs and beef connoisseurs throughout the world
and featured in a number of Michelin starred restaurants.

USDA Prime, the highest USDA grade for beef does not
adequately represent the quality of this distinctive
and delicious beef.

Only 3% of all beef in the US receives the designation of Prime,
yet Snake River Farms far exceeds the standard.
For this reason, Snake River Farm utilize,the Japanese marbling scale,
a higher degree of marbling – or finely veined –
and produce tender meat with an exquisite taste.

Everyone that has already tasted Snake River Wagyu,
talks of ‘fat that melts in the mouth’
and its incomparable and sophisticated flavour.
